The City of Los Angeles would like to pass the burden of repair of sidewalks in front of a residence to the homeowner. The City's fiscal crisis is now a personal crisis for each homeowner. As we all try to cope with thedecreasing value to our homes and the inability to refinance our current loans, the City of Los Angeles would like us to add this possible expense to our list of bills we currently cannot afford.
A sidewalk repair can be quite costly, and if a homeowner who is losing their home to foreclosure, short sale or bankruptcy would be in absolutely no position to pay for a repair to their sidewalk! Additionally, if the City gets their way and the homeowner does not repair the sidewalk, a lien can be placed on the property which would create a problem for the sale of the property to the new buyer and current seller and could possibly prevent the sale from closing.
The City of Los Angeles is looking for ways to cut their liability, expenses and overall responsibility to the citizens of our great city. It is up to each homeowner to begin to get involved and see how to get their voices heard.
At least a resolution can be made to ensure that the City participates in a repair if they are making it necessary for the homeowner to make the repair in the first place.
When do homeowners get their bailout?

A Blog about Blogging
As I blog today, I realize that some people out there really do not even know what a blog is or are truly not interested in blogging. It is today's mail. It is a form of social internet communication that lets us reach so many people about a subject that interests us or someone else. It can also be important information that is spread across the globe to help others in a matter of seconds. Even though many of us may not be comfortable with blogging, it is time that we connect with others who may share a common interest, an important health issue or just curious about a certain topic.
I am not that comfortable about blogging, but I want to reach others to share my expertise in real estate, or share important information about real estate today. This is a great tool for me to do that from the comfort of my own home.
Join me and blog about issues that matter to you.
Happy Blogging....

SNOW IN BELL CANYON
Bell Canyon will have snow on Sunday, February 14, 2010.
Bell Canyon's famous snow hill on Baymare Road will be the fun place to be on February 14, 2010. Snow is brought in and children of all ages can go down the snow hill with saucers and sleds. The event is free and drinks and food will be available for purchase.
Anyone can enjoy snow hill and you do not have to be a resident.
Rain will cancel the event, and please do not bring metal or wooden snow gear or sleds.
The snow will hopefully last from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
What a great time for everyone.

PLEASE HELP HAITI
Most people do not know where the small island of Haiti is located. Now, we seem to be watching in absolute horror that one of the poorest places on earth is devastated!
We must all help this country! It does not matter if you have little to give, but each one of us must contribute something. In 1906, San Francisco was hit with a massive earthquake and the infrastructure of aid to San Francisco was better than in 2010 for Haiti. This country is primitive in that it does not have the basic necessities to ensure that life is sustainable.
Each one of us must get out of our comfort zone of a warm house with heat or a fireplace, and take a moment to offer assistance.
The people who are creating miracles such as "Doctors without Borders", and the Red Cross are just a few organizations that we can support as they
try to save lives.
Those who give will in turn receive the greatest gift of all; a full heart..
